Welcome to Take Control

An image of blustery wind followed by the text, Take Control. In the background is an image of family at the park. The mother is pulling a toddler in a wagon. The toddler is holding onto the sides of the wagon smiling while his father uses his hands to beckon him forward.

Your personal pathway to living well with asthma

About TakeControl

We know asthma is complex. Like other chronic diseases, it has its ups and downs. The goal of asthma treatment is to live your life as if you don’t have asthma.
TakeControl is a text messaging program designed to help you work with your health care provider to take control of your asthma with an action plan that works for you.

What to Expect

After you text CONTROL to 401-234-0883, you’ll receive a series of questions. Once you answer, you’ll get tips matched to your responses.

About once a month, we’ll check back in on how you are doing with your asthma. We’ll update your tips based on what you share with us.

If you change your mind about receiving TakeControl messages, you can stop the messages by texting STOP.

Although TakeControl is designed to help improve your asthma control, the tips provided do not replace medical advice. Contact your health care provider with any concerns or questions about your health. This program is used at your own risk.
