“Change is in the Air” with host Dr. Kerry Evers on: The Behavior Change Architect Podcast
December 1st, 2021
Pro-Change is excited to announce that Co-President and CEO Kerry Evers, Ph.D. has launched “The Behavior Change Architect” podcast. Having spent 30 years working in the behavior change field, Dr. Evers is excited to come together with other leaders in the field to create a mutual understanding so that, through conversations and stories, we can collaboratively build an innovative framework for behavior change.
Airing last week, the intro episode covered the reasoning to launch the podcast at this time and described its unique format. Every month or so, “The Behavior Change Architect” will provide a series of three episodes that focus on a single topic, such as a specific population, behavior, technology, communication style, or theory. Each episode will highlight a discussion between Kerry and a different guest with special expertise on the unique topic. The first episode will focus on why the topic is important to discuss. The second will discuss the state of the science concerning the topic. And finally, the third will focus on how to put the topic into practice. By the end of each series, the listener will have a well-rounded look at a specific topic within the field of behavior change and how to address it.
“Regardless of the field that you work in, it is very likely that an understanding and discussion around behavior change science will influence your work,” states Kerry. “The Behavior Change Architect Podcast is a real conversation with experts about innovative, evidence-based, behavior change strategies that increase well-being.”|
The first series, which will be available in December, will include guests Karen Moseley, Ron Goetzel, Ph.D., and Sam Dolezal, Ph.D. discussing workplace health and well-being.
Tune in as the podcast takes you on a journey to change the narrative, change perspectives, and ultimately help change behavior for clients, populations, and perhaps even yourself! University of Iowa to Implement Pro-Change Health Risk Assessment and Resilience Program
November 16th, 2021
The University of Iowa has selected Pro-Change as its health risk assessment provider for University employees, including faculty and staff. By implementing the Pro-Change Health Risk Intervention (HRI), the University will be providing much more than the typical question and answer health risk assessment. In addition to assessing a comprehensive range of traditional health risks, the HRI captures readiness to change and provides immediate evidence-based, personalized feedback about the single most important strategy faculty and staff can use to make progress on each specific health risk behavior. The HRI also provides tailored text messages to reinforce behavior change strategies. In addition to the direct benefit the HRI provides for employees, on-demand aggregate reports provide actionable insights to inform strategy around university-wide and department-specific health and well-being programmatic efforts offered through University Human Resources.
“Our faculty and staff pride themselves in their high work ethic in service of the mission of the University of Iowa, but burnout happens even to the most dedicated and engaged employees. As an institution of higher education with an academic medical center, the Pro-Change tools provide us with research-supported interventions that also offer a convenient user experience for our busy employees. While employees already display high amounts of resilience, the goal of using recharge+ is to provide employees with tailored insights as they continue to navigate the complexities of life today.” – Megan Hammes, Senior Director | University of Iowa Wellness/University Human Resources |
The University of Iowa has also deployed recharge+TM , Pro-Change’s end-to-end, science-based digital solution designed to boost employees’ resilience in the face of adversity and change. This newly released solution utilizes the Resilience Evaluation Measure©, Pro-Change’s validated assessment of resilience, to provide users with a snapshot of their current level of resilience. Users also benefit from immediate feedback and daily text messages offering practical and tailored strategies on how they can enhance their resilience.
