ProChange is pleased to announce that we have yet again achieved two NCQA Wellness & Health Promotion (WHP) Certifications for Health Appraisals and Self-Management Tools. NCQA Certification is a voluntary review that ProChange engages in every two years. The process involves a rigorous review of the key functions wellness and health promotion organizations perform that are of interest to consumers and employers. ProChange’s Health Risk Assessment & Intervention (HRI) and seven programs within the Lifestyle Management Suite met, and often surpassed, standards that are intentionally set high to encourage wellness and health promotion organizations to ensure quality. No other comparable evaluation exists for wellness and health promotion programs.

“ProChange was founded on a commitment to quality and evidence-based behavior change practices, and we remain committed to those practices 25 years later.” said Co-President and CEO, Dr. Kerry Evers. “Those NCQA certifications highlight the commitment to quality that is evident in all ProChange solutions.”

“NCQA’s Wellness & Health Promotion Accreditation requires organizations to demonstrate their compliance with well-defined standards and quality measures,” said Margaret E. O’Kane, NCQA President. “The NCQA seal will provide employers and consumers with the information they need to choose the best program in their markets.”

NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations. It also recognizes clinicians and practices in key areas of performance. NCQA’s Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) is the most widely used performance measurement tool in health care. NCQA’s website (ncqa.org) contains information to help consumers, employers and others make more-informed health care choices. NCQA can be found online at ncqa.org, on Twitter @ncqa, on Facebook at facebook.com/NCQA.org and on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/company/ncqa.
