Dr. Levesque leads projects and grant-funded research covering a range of physical and mental health-related behaviors including informed decision-making among Medicare beneficiaries, eliminating partner violence among domestic violence offenders; preventing teen dating violence; and preventing and reducing depression among at-risk primary care patients. Additional areas of interest include the assessment of resistance to change and doctor-patient collaboration in care.
Dr. Levesque received her Master’s degree from Mount Holyoke College, and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. While at URI she trained with experts on the TTM as a graduate student and post-doctoral research fellow at the Cancer Prevention Research Center. She is now an adjunct faculty member at the University of Rhode Island.
